In DuPont, stop by The St.Gregory Hotel‘s hip lobby bar. They serve up a short, curated list of cocktails, and the Tredici #2– made with rye whiskey, carpano antica, and house bitters is one of their bestsellers.
Adams Morgan is one of DC’s popular neighborhoods blending new versions of traditional whiskey cocktails at the Jack Rose Dining Saloon. With two dozen tasting flights to choose from, whiskey lovers can samples drinks from Virginia Distilleries, international Japanese flights from the Nikka Distillery, and everything in between.
On the other side of town, Capitol Hill politicos are spending their happy hour sipping an assortment of whiskeys at local watering holes like Barrel DC. The spirit list is long, and there is plenty new to try.
